The Journey

A month of highs and lows

October, 2011

What a month it has been! September was such a mixed time for me, full of some amazing highs and a moment of great sorrow.

A staggering 1600 of you downloaded Bloodline: Alliance for free. Thank you to those who did. I sincerely hope it’s just the right kind of book for you. Feel free to pass it on to friends who might love it too.

Did you miss out? Then perhaps you might be interested to know that Littleman have allowed me to keep the PDF on my website as a $4 download with an official ebook coming next year. The paperback is also available through all online sellers or internationally by special order through your local bookshop (quote the ISBN). Not only that, but Covenant is also coming as an ebook in the next few months. In the meantime, you can purchase the paperback here.

I also appeared on national talkback radio this month. That was quite an experience! And the positive response I received from that was even better than I could have hoped for. It brings me great joy to know that I was able to encourage and inspire some of you.

I was also privileged to appear on the September recommended reading list put out by one of the USA’s better-known reviewers. That list goes out to over 250,000 people. What an honour - and surprise - to have my novel Sacrifice sit alongside just two other fantasy novels.

There are many other behind-the-scenes activities going on with the books, some just whispers at the moment, but very exciting whispers. I hope to say more about these soon. You can always follow along with my Facebook updates to find out my latest comings and goings.

Amidst the highs of the books, was also a loss. A good friend and the original proof reader for Bloodline: Alliance died last month. She was a great encouragement to me on my writing journey and you can read a tribute I wrote to her here. I wrote it, not as a marker of loss, but as an inspiration to you. It is my hope that the way she encouraged me will inspire you on your own journey.

Lisa.
