Have you thought of writing anything other than fantasy?

I would have to say that this is my most asked question. And often it is asked by friends and family who feel that writing fantasy is a bit like saying you want to be a Fairy Princess when you grow up. They wonder when you're going to mature and move onto something serious.

I love fantasy (not all fantasy mind you, just certain types). And I understand fantasy, and have honed my skills in it over many, many years. But I'm a writer, and I have and will continue to write all sorts of things. I've dabbled in plays, in non-fiction, articles, brochures, ads, scripts, newsletters . . . You name it; I've probably tried it.

I will always come back to writing fantasy as my first love, but I would probably get a little bored, and maybe a little narrow-minded if that was all I did.
